1965年毕业于陕西师范大学数学系，先后在陕西省、黑龙江省等地的中学任教十多年。1979年至1981年在陕西

师范大学数学系攻读基础数学硕士研究生，1982年由华东师范大学授予理学硕士学位，留校工作后于1982年至

1983年在复旦大学进修。1992年至1993年在美国印地安那大学数学系作高级访问学者，2004年3月至2004年

11月在美国新罕布什尔大学作高级研究学者。1994年10月至2003年1月出任陕西师范大学副校长。现为我校数

学与信息科学学院教授、博士生导师，中国数学会会员和美国数学会会员，美国数学评论评论员和德国数学评

论评论员。

在工作以来的30多年间，他主要从事基础数学的教学和研究工作，先后在《中国科学》、《数学学报》、《数

学年刊》、《Proc. Amer. Math. Soc.》、《Integ. Equ. Op. Theory》、《Linear algebra and its

Applications》《Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society》《Journal of Mathematical Analysis

and Application》等国内外重要学术期刊上发表论文70多篇, 内容涉及算子谱论、算子代数、算子逼近、

Banach格上正算子理论、近代矩阵分析和算子补问题等多个分支。先后主持过“正算子谱理论”、“算子理论

与算子代数及其应用”、“算字谱论正算子和算子代数”、“算子补问题”等多项国家自然科学基金项目和省

级课题。目前参与一项国家自然科学基金项目。其中，“线性算子谱论及其应用”、“算子谱论和算子代数

”、“算子理论与算子代数及其应用”均获得陕西省科技进步奖；他参与完成的项目“非自伴算子代数及相关

问题研究”和“不变子空间和算子代数上线性影射研究”分别获2005年陕西省科学技术进步奖和1996年山西省

科技进步奖。
